NEW FILE DIRECTORY LOCATIONS FOR BLUEPRINTS
We are adjusting the file directories of Techblox. This is in preparation for the release of online multiplayer.
The changes we are making will affect the following:
- The save location for Blueprints & Blueprints Clipboard
- The save location of the hotbar slots
Machines and world saves will continue to be loaded via the cloud so no further action is required to make them compatible with the new file directories
If you would like to use your saved blueprints and hotbar slots, you will need to follow some steps to make them usable. Follow these instructions:
- Launch the game to create the new file directory
- Close the game
- Open up the following directory: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\LocalLow\Freejam\TechbloxPreview\HotbarBlueprints
- Copy the files in this folder
- Paste the files in the following directory: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\LocalLow\Freejam\Techblox\HotbarBlueprints
- Launch the game
You can also copy across the clipboard blueprints by following the steps below:
- Open up the following directory: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\LocalLow\Freejam\TechbloxPreview\ClipboardBlueprints
- Copy the files in this folder
- Paste the files in the following directory C:\Users\%username%\AppData\LocalLow\Freejam\Techblox\ClipboardBlueprints
- Launch the game
You can also copy across the hot bar slot saves too by following the directions below:
- Open up the following directory: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\LocalLow\Freejam\TechbloxPreview
- Copy the HotbarSlots.data files
- Paste the files in the following directory: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\LocalLow\Freejam\Techblox
- Launch the game
IMPORTANT: You can only copy files from an older version (Techblox main) to a newer version (Techblox Preview), you must never do it the other way around as older versions of the game will not be compatible with newer versions of the save data.
